Vex Game: Fifteen Years of Stickman Chaos, and It Only Gets Better
Most games come and go, but Vex Games just keeps getting better. 15 years ago, it was something you stumbled upon during an after-school blissful trance and a game you would think about for days to come. Vex Stickman has been an obstacle course for millions of players, old and new alike. This is your chance to see what all the fuss is about, and for free to boot!
This is a platformer the way it’s meant to be played. In platformer games, the player controls the character to run, climb, jump, and traverse levels to avoid obstacles. It is all about control and precision. If you are looking for a game that actually challenges you, Vex is that game.
The Platformer Game That Grew Up With You
Back in 2005, Vex was just a simple browser game with stickmen and an insanely difficult but addicting finish line. With its partnership with Azerion Casual Games Studio, it became one of the daily games that an entire generation would play.
“It’s not that hard,” your friends would say as they continued to play. That was a lie.
What no one predicted was how long this would be around.
Most adventure games from this era are long gone. Vex is still here; games from this era are long gone. Vex is still here, still growing, and is now available on mobile and desktop, no download needed.
Players also don’t need to worry about losing their progression. You can pick up where you left off with Vex unblocked from levels. This is a free web game that you can play when you have a couple of minutes or even a couple of hours.
The reason this one has been a success is that there has always been something new to play. Vex games has never been stale. It’s surprising how much the developers have been able to stretch the game’s core concepts. The controls have always posed cognitive challenges and featured level design that keeps players interested and coming back for more.
All the Vex Games Explained

Each one of the games is a unique and fully standalone online platformer game.
Here’s what each of the games has to offer:
Vex 3
Many gamers became familiar with the Vex franchise with Vex 3. With nine acts and nine challenge stages, you will play through the final stage, titled “Vexation.” There are many checkpoints to hit and keys to collect. The main character is a stickman and he can run, jump, swim, climb, and roll. Trapping levels with creative designs is a lot of fun. This addition to the Vex franchise is one of the best for the series and is even accessible for the single-player PC gamer.
Vex 4
Vex 4 introduced swimming mechanics that alter some of the acts and the addition of unlockable hard modes, which require you to meet objectives during the acts. There are a total of nine acts and each of them has their own place in this adventure game.
Vex 5
Vex 5 was released with hardcore act variants as well as an entire achievement system. The Challenge Room will leave even the bravest of players feeling humbled.
Vex 6
Vex 6 introduces an extensive live-service system with daily tasks and a bonus level system, as well as 64 unlockable skins. It is one of the best single-player adventure games of the series.

Vex 8
Vex 8 introduces more challenges to the classic action adventure formula. I guarantee you will struggle to complete them! The lobby also functions as your training area, and coins let you unlock character skins. Acts filled with spikes, shooting guns, and checkpoints will eventually lead you to the frightening Vexation level.
Vex 9
Vex 9 is by far the biggest and best chapter yet. jetpack mechanics are combined with the existing stickman movement mechanics. Laser grids, spinning blades, bombs and crumbling floors continue to add unpredictability to the level design. Challenge Mode will task you with finding all the coins while attempting to knock you out of the sky.
Spin-Offs That Take the Vex Franchise to Another Level
Having completed all the levels in the previous Vex games doesn’t mean you’ve seen the last of them. The spin-off games allow you to continue playing with your stickman.
Vex Hyper Dash
Vex Hyper Dash eliminates all the unnecessary elements and focuses on speed. As an homage to Geometry Dash, this spin-off is all about the flow of movement and how fast you can react. This game will challenge your perception of an HTML5 game and the game series, and that’s why it’s worth a play.
Vex 3 Xmas
Vex 3 Xmas retains the third game in the series and adds a holiday theme. The level design in this online adventure game doesn’t long for mercy, but at least it’s holidays! This spin-off is a great seasonal addition for regular players.
Vex X3M, X3M 2, and X3M 3
Vex X3M, X3M 2, and X3M 3 are the spin-off game series that are all about motorcycle racing. You’re now on a motorcycle, racing through courses with a mixture of TNT, traps, sand, pipes, and an unpredictable moto that makes you feel like you’re living through a physics sandbox.
X3M 3 contains 30 missions, a collection of 40 moto skins, a scoring system, a “hard mode” level, and even a racing CPU. The other two spin-off games to racing bike arcade have this kind of content.
Vex Challenges
Vex Challenges captures some of the toughest content in the series into a single collection designed for players who want to get right to the hard stuff. You only have ten seconds to finish each of the 75 stages.
